As it was the World Cup in Japan/Korea and most of the matches took place during the day, Liz and I decided to take our summer holiday during it. By doing this I was able to watch the matches whilst also being able to have a good holiday at the same time. Add to this the atmosphere of the resort due to the many other nationalities there (mainly Irish) and it turned out to be a very good idea.
We stayed in Puerto Del Carmen which was the main resort. Although we were situated in the "Old Town" which was much quieter. We mainly spent the holiday sunbathing, watching football, and going out. Evenings were spent locally as there were many good bars and restaurants. It was a very chilled out relaxing holiday which we enjoyed a lot. It was our 4th time to Lanzarote and it won't be our last!
