WELCOME TO SAN ANTONIO, IBIZA!

I visited Ibiza in May 1996.
This was a "lads" holiday with two of my mates, Anthony and Michael. We expected it to be a run down resort but we were surprised to find that it was quite upmarket.
The hotels on offer were pretty poor though, basically just somewhere to sleep with no frills, but they were perfectly adequate for our needs, which incidentally were drinking, sunbathing and sleeping.
The nightlife is the main reason we went to Ibiza and it certainly did not disappoint. When we went it was supposedly the quiet part of the holiday season, but judging by how busy it was then I would certainly avoid the peak season as it would be too busy. As it was, it was ideal when we went and we had a very drunken time.

Check out my pics...

This is me on the promenade. Please note that the sunglasses are more likely to be due to a hangover rather than it being sunny!

Michael, myself and Anthony finally got a picture taken together on our last day. This is mainly due to Michael being ill for a while, or maybe it's because we were too busy drinking to take any snaps!

Sunset shot from the promenade. We were just going out to have a couple of drinks here. Hence the fact that the picture is in focus!

Lock up your daughters, Ibiza!
Hmmm.....perhaps not.

This is more like it! He threw up like a good 'un later on this night!

This serves these two right for getting pissed on the way home and being a real pain in the arse while I was left in charge to make sure we got home safely. I was tempted to leave them here, I really was.

Ibiza is the liveliest place I have been, the nightlife is superb and the clubs are incredible (although really expensive). If you like it quiet however, it is possible to stay across the bay in the quiet part where all the families tend to stay so it appeals to everyone. Overall a great resort but avoid going on a "club 18-30" or "2wentys" holiday as the reps are a major pain in the arse and WILL NOT leave you alone if you don't book any trips, which you don't need to do as you'll have a great time regardless.
