BARBADOS 2000
TOURING THE ISLAND
After two weeks everybody went home apart from Liz and I who had a third week to go and Anne who had two days left. We therefore decided to share the cost and hire a car to tour the island. We had a fantastic day, starting off from our hotel we went round the coastline anti-clockwise. We saw the wonderful Crane Beach (pic 1) then travelled to the lighthouse on the eastern tip (pic 3) then right up the rough east coast where the scenery was amazing. We lunched at a bar called the Round House in Bathsheba (damn no pic!) nice place though. We then proceded right up to the north point where we visited the Animal Flower Cave (no pics here, we took loads last time - see 1998 visit for pics) although we did take loads outside there as you can see. Finally we left the wild side of Barbados and hit the tranquil west coast where the sea is a gorgeous green colour, so naturally we stopped for a relaxing swim. So, a great day all round and it was topped off with a drunken night at Harbour Lights and some more photo's taken in the car at about 2am when we got back to the hotel and found it was still parked there!
The pics are in order of the tour.
